Well, he was killed this last Sunday. He had adjusted his home range approximately 1/2 mile to another area of the property and had become the target of everyone hunting the property. Another hunter had passed this buck and was sent a text asking if he was asleep. That hunter later admitted he thought the buck was a really nice 8 and considered shooting, but ultimately decided to pass. I am glad that he did because it was my biggest buck to date.
I ended up putting a tape to him and was extremely conservative with my numbers and came up with 146.
