Recommendations for date locations in Austin

Taking the wife out on a date this evening and I am looking for places to go. We are both in our young 40's and we like music, food and a good atmosphere. We live right by the Domain but I was thinking about maybe going down town somewhere...

We are new to Austin so any good suggestions would be appreciated

Sturgill Simpson playing tomorrow at the race track.
Tonight, hit a high school football game and some BBQ.
Next weekend Junior Brown playing at Continental Club.

Moonshine is good,
East Side Cafe (not downtown, Manor Rd. near UT),
La Traviata (Congress/4th st)
Vespaio (S Congress/Milton st), Continental Club across the street (kinda touristy these days, but an ok spot)
Perlas (s Congress near Vespaio)
Austin Land & Cattle (N Lamar/12th) kinda downtown

If you don't mind jazz, Elephant room typically has a more mellow crowd, on Congress across from la traviata

I was working in Austin during the Legislative Session this year. We ate dinner all over Austin. Red Ash was by far my favorite.
