40D is dead... Lame....

I was at Niagara Falls today when my 40D just stopped working. It was misty but everyone else was using cameras with no problem so I dont think it was moisture at all. I think the shutter might have died. ERR99 anytime I tried to use it with any lens. When I get back its off to Canon Ser11vice. Heading to bed now, Ill post what pics I got when I return, just sucks

Mine went out the second day I had it. I took it back to Best Buy and they replaced it on the spot. Sorry for your troubles. Still a great camera though.

sorry bud, I'm sure you will get the ship righted in no time. The reason you bought canon in the first place is because they are at the top of the camera heap. I'm sure they will take good care of you.

I wouldn't be able to wait. I'd find the address and a UPS store and have it gone. Anyway sorry about you camera and I have no doubt Canon will have it fixed in no time.
