    HELP!!!! 7th grade math question.

    Angle relationships: Find x, I'm convinced they don't give enough information to solve the problem. But I'm 20 years out of that class and could be convinced I'm wrong.

        The angles are equal. X= 22

          Those are vertical angles, set them equal to each other and solve from there.
          X=22

              Just asked my 9th grader ... they are equal to each other so 5x+12=6x-10. So x=22

                  5x +12 = 6x - 10

                  X=22

                  Beat me to it

                  Subtract 5x from each side add 10 to each side

                      x = 22

                      5 x 22 = 110 + 12 = 122

                      6 x 22 = 132 - 10 = 122

                        6x -10 = 5x + 12
                        Add the 10 over
                        6x = 5x +22
                        Subtract the 5x over
                        X = 22

                        To check your work, plug 22 in for the x

                        6(22) - 10 = 122
                        5(22) + 12 = 122

                            Just because I can't let it go (in case the teacher asks how you know they are equal...)

                            J + (6x - 10) = 180 and J + (5x+12) = 180 (the measure of each angle plus J is 180 deg or a straight line)

                            from there, you have a little bit of work, but you end up with the same result as x is 22.

                              There ain't no fletchings on them arrows so I can't figure the angle of the shot.
