Default Beaver

So a beaver tried to climb in the duck blind with me this morning. It took 2 face fulls of #2 steel to change his mind.
Keep it clean guys

It won't be long. The idiots are about to wake up and start posting crude comments. Some people just don't respect themselves or others. Sounds like an interesting hunt.

Congrats on getting the Bev, I bet it looked big up close and personal like that. You going to take it home for the dog to play with?

I will save the good jokes for the personal time.

Those things will scare the snot out of you when your waist deep in freezing water in the dark setting out dukes. All of a sudden you see something swimming towards the sound of dekes hittin the water and your between the dekes and the critter. It gets the ol ticker racing every time. One place was we hunted was so bad we had one guy stay in the boat with a loaded shotgun.....we called it beaver patrol lol.

Before you start ragging on him, I'm guessing you didn't see the ones that I already had to delete before posting my warning, huh?!?

You must know him to understand shooting it 2 times, I am surprised he didn't use the 3rd round just to be sure.

And yes, beavers are tough.

I think Rudey's warning is equivalent to a highway patrol running down the interstate. Slows everyone down.

Just curious, because I don't know anything about aquatic beavers, if one did get in the blind or boat, would it attack or just go about it's business? Are they aggressive?

My uncle shot one twice with a .243,and it kicked forever…We shot 5 of em one night with 3" 00 buckshot,at point blank range, and made a mess out of em!
Couldn't imagine having to shoot one in self defense mode though!

Shot one with a 180gr JSP from a Marlin 35rem. Chunks flew off. It dove, resurfaced, and began climbing up the bank. I put another round into it and it scooted down the bank and went into its dam. **** beaver dam kept that **** tough beaver from getting a third **** round. Coulda put it into the dam but what's the **** point?
