Who has been? any good fishing off the bank? I have never been but wanted to get away for a day next weekend.

Any advice appreciated

It used to be good but about the past five years I wouldn't even waste my time going to that sandy mud hole. You might catch a few good ones by four fingers but you can't get there unless you have a boat.

We catfished down there a few yrs ago.Found a main lake point,and caught a bunch of em on punch bait.12-15 foot down.

Walking the bank around Mason Point this time of year you should catch a few catfish. There used to be about a 10' Gator that would hang out around there. He started getting friendly with folks. Be careful.
