Our place is in Ft. McKavett, in Schliecher County. We are about 5 miles SW of the Fort. In one month, most of the protein pellet feeders, 8 free range 2000 lbs, are about empty, maybe 25% left. Fed about 3000 lbs of cotton seed along with it. The deer have been hammering us....The ground has plenty of moisture but nights are still cool, 32 Saturday morning with heavy frost, and high North winds...
