I'm here for the week doing some training. What are some must try places either in Ballinger or surrounding areas (San Angelo, Abilene) ?

        Big O's in Valera.

Rancho Pizza in Coleman. Seriously the best pizza I've had

We always eat at Alejandra's. It's pretty good Mexican food.

There is a place on the corner of the street close to the courthouse that I eat at once a year when I go to ballinger. I don't know the name of the place, but I've always liked it and the brick building with the old wood floors is really neat.

If you like steak, give Perini Ranch in Buffalo Gap a try. Everything there is good. The owner has cooked for several presidents.

Make the drive to Perini Ranch. Steak with a side of green chile hominy and bread pudding for dessert. Now I'm hungry.

Also had Beefmasters. I personally didn't think it was as good as all the hype I heard about it.

May have to give this a try. I don't mind driving for a good steak.

All of the above are good. Try Armenta's in San Angelo for great Mexican food.
