Looking forward to my third straight weekend in Austin watching Texas play and most importantly tailgating with friends.

The Texas win was really, really good for Texas. I am not saying it needs to be viewed as a quality win given USC struggles, but Texas needed that game in a bad way. The performance along with a great crowd made for a very fun Saturday night. CDC is putting the plan in place and if Herman can do his part, look out.

I was lucky to attend the ULM ATM game with my wife, sister and daughter Saturday. Not a tough opponent but still loving this new steady 4 quarters of real football. Poor Jimbo has had very high expectations put on him. He will most likely be required by the fan base to kick the teeth out of a refs mouth before the season ends lol. JIMBO JIMBO JIMBO.

Horns pulled one off so congrats to them. I dont see either ATM or UT winning their games this week but its not out of the realm of possibilities. TCU looked stellar against OSU and almost pulled it off. Congrats.

SHSU lost game 2 Saturday; hoping that is not a new trend. Not used to losing much at that school.

TCU got slapped in the the 3rd quarter in a span of 4-5 minutes. 20 unanswered points. That was the game changer. You can't have that. That being said they competed. Finish the season with one loss!!!

Good luck to TCU except this week. Y'all have definately been the gold standard of CFB in this state since 2010ish. Its not close. Baylor was #2 for awhile.

USC is loaded with 4 and 5 star athletes. They are not as bad as some want to think. Texas didnt just beat them, they dominated them.

I had TCU as a loss. No clue now. Texas definately has a chance.

Didn't really get to watch any of the games this week since I was in a wedding but it looks like the horns pulled off a win and played a good 2nd half from the stats, TCU put up a good fight vs OSU but just couldn't hold on down the stretch, and looks like I'll be winning $25 from an LSU fan that claimed they would go 6-6 this year .

Bama opened as a +27 point favorite, and it's gonna be a dog fight not to lose by more than 3 TD's. They are just looking dominant.

TCU vs Texas will be interesting to see if TCU forgets about the Ohio State game and regroups. I saw the line opened Texas -2.5 but swung to TCU -2.5 shortly after

Just what I read on Texags that when it opened it was -2.5, but it swung quickly. Seems like a BIG swing in an hour, so seems odd to me as well.

Bama opened at -27 but I think it may be down to -24 now.

Auburn opened at -27.5 over arkansas... That seems low. Arkansas is horrendous

Hoping Frogs have something left in the tank after last week. IF they are able to play as fast and with anywhere near the same emotion as last week this game shouldn't be that close IMO, but that's a big if after a deflating loss. If TCU comes out flat, they could be in trouble. Still have one spot on the OL to sure up at RG with not a lot of great options at this point. Haven't heard of any major injuries at this point but should find out tomorrow. Texas have any major injuries heading into this week?

Ah, TexAgs. I think the ol boy got his "+" and "-" mixed up.

I have saw it open at Texas +2.5 and it has moved to +3 on Vegas Insider. With getting 3 at home, that puts TCU about a TD favorite so pretty much in line with that I thought it would be.

The line opened TCU -2.5. It seems like a play on TCU dominance over the last decade and an unknown to what step the Horns have actually taken.

TCU is fast, I mean freakishly fast and If they play clean, they could line up with nearly anyone in the top 10 and go toe to toe.

They didn't play clean and It got the best of them.

I had this game as a loss before the season and I havent seen anything that makes me think otherwise.

The overall speed of TCU scares me, especially with how USC was able to get deep on Texas. That seemed to be the only thing that worked for them was the deep ball.

Gary P will coach circles around Herman, so hopefully the Texas players will carry some juice from the USC game and TCU comes out flat. This is an opportunity to steal one back from the Maryland game. This is not a season ending game if Texas takes the L as most people had this penciled in as an L before the season, but a win would go a long ways into getting the train back on the tracks.

I think you missed the IF. It will be hard for them to replicate how hard they played, especially after losing. I expect a let down and slow start, hoping I'm wrong.

I agree.

Although, now’s when the REAL fun begins for Texas. They’ve got the 13th toughest remaining schedule in the country. With at least 4 teams that are better than USC.

They need to use their size advantage every chance they get!

It was as "lackluster" as a 48-10 victory can be, but the Ags took care of business. Hopefully the McCoy injury isn't significant and he'll be 100% by Saturday. Hopefully Rogers will be back to form, as well.

I only caught intermittent plays from the Horns' game, but props for handling a talented USC team.

It seemed like every time I switched over to check in on ABC the Frogs were making a big play, but I guess tOSU had a run in the third and TCU couldn't recover.

Should make for an interesting game at JJF@DKRWMS this weekend.

HUGE win for LSU! If I'm honest, I hope that Auburn just isn't as good as expected, but I fear Coach O is getting buy-in from his players and they will be a tough out.

Bama. I heard they've outscored opponents 117-7 in the first half this season. Bama. I fear the Ags get a reality check this weekend, with Saban not pulling any punches. BAS...

I watched Robinson in HS and enjoyed watching him again this past Saturday.

tOSU pulled out the victory, but TCU fought hard, and made some huge plays. Like has been said, their skill speed is more than legit.

I would probably pick TCU to win. I think Robinson is going to play great.

Texas needs to find a way to go 2-1 in the next three vs TCU, @ K-State, OU. I would think 1-2 is more realistic so I hope they can steal one. Given their track record, 0-3 is staring them in the face too.

I'll attempt to stay positive.

Talk about nuts, The USC kicker blew out his ACL after STERNS blocked his FG attempt... he was trying to run down AW on the scoop and score.

Texas receivers dropped several passes or the score against USC would have been higher. If Texas can eliminate those mistakes they can beat TCU. Going to be tough though.

I'd think that the spread between Auburn and Arkansas would be considerably more than between the Ags and 'Bama.

I could see Auburn winning by 50 if Malzahn will open up his game to the athletes he has, of course the Tide could easily win by 50 if the front four for TAMU doesn't pressure the QB, and the secondary doesn't stay on top of those receivers.

Even if they play a perfect game the Ags have one heck of an uphill battle just to keep it close. Bama is just so dang good at everything. I don't see a weakness. The QBs are both great but with different skill sets, the O and D line are incredible, the receivers and RBs are the best in the business. The secondary is young but Saban coaches them himself. If the Aggies want to win they will have to be perfect, not let the Tide score on defense, stop the deep ball and maintain a running game to keep the ball out of Alabama's hands. Old school clock control, perfect football and a lot of luck.

On top of everthing else I just posted about, there is the well known stat that NONE of Sabans former assistants have ever beaten him.

Big game this week against the horny toads! I'm really tired of getting our ***** kicked by them! It's time to turn this thing around and return to the natural order of Texas Football hierarchy!

jk/ing. With that being said TCU has, without a doubt, been proudly carrying the CFB State flag this decade. Good program that consistently does more with less. Great coaching and systematic recruiting........but your going down on Saturday!!

As long as Gary Patterson is the head coach at TCU, this may be the natural order of Texas Football hierarchy. I do look for this to be a very competitive game as Texas will field more and better athletes. Coming off a tough loss to a very good tOSU team will most likely affect the early part of the game and home field advantage should mean something.
Aggies are going to face a buzz saw...anyone want to trade places?????
Adios,

A&M's real season starts next week. Everyone knew they would be 2-2 after the first four weeks. This week won't be pretty. Tua is great at the deep ball and the Ag's secondary is great at giving up the deep ball (And missing tackles). I hope we beat the spread and keep it within 4 scores.

Our depth is a major concern. We are playing way more physical than years past, but as a program, it will take another couple years to be able to withstand Fisher's grueling practices, without injury, and to compete with the elite SEC teams in the second half of the schedule.

Talk about nuts, The USC kicker blew out his ACL after STERNS blocked his FG attempt... he was trying to run down AW on the scoop and score.
Worst part about it for the kid, he was behind the ball with no chance. You can see him roll up on his own without being hit.

Was the double forward pass by Houston addressed by the media or anything?

WR Eagles doubtful (hamstring)
RB Ingram questionable (knee)
OL Shackelford doubtful (foot)
LB Overshown a week or two away
Malcolm Roach fractured his foot and will miss 6-8 weeks. Surgery this week.
Roach out hurts at a thin position. I am ready for the Overshown Show to start.

Hopefully Ingram can give us 5-8 touches on Saturday.
