A Deputy was shot earlier, while investigating an illegal deer blind. Reports say he was shot in the foot, expected to survive. S.O. DPS, Game wardens searching for the suspect now.

I heard one report say the shot came from someone up in a tree. But with the media reporting whatever they want, it is hard to know what story is true.

If they landowner knew there was someone there why didn't the LEO call in the game warden, which is the expert in dealing with these situations?

I'm not trying to armchair quarterback this. I hope the deputy has a fully recovery and the shooter is caught.

It never ceases to amaze what stupid stuff people will perpetrate in the name of "deer hunting". I hope the deputy is not screwed up for life.
