Default 2018 Alamo Precision Rifles TBH Special Thread

Well, just heard back from all of the vendors and the APR/TBH special is a GO! Thanks for everyoneís input in getting this thing lined out. Heck, thanks for just requesting it! We have been struggling trying to figure out what to do next for TBH, and canít thank you guys enough for what yaíll have done to help put APR on the map. Maybe this can help show our appreciation is some way.

First, I want to make sure that everyone knows this is a TBH only deal. We committed to some monster P.O.ís to get this pricing on components and in no way could we offer this on a normal or continuous basis. We are also offering a substantial discount on the components we already have in house to reduce costs even further. It will take a little longer this way, but will save you a ton of money. This deal is what it is and we canít make many changes or substitutions and maintain this pricing or production schedule. We have included a few common upgrade options and discounted them as well to offer more customization for those who want it.

Some things to be aware of:

1. We will start taking orders tomorrow and close the books on Feb 9th at 6:00 PM. Stock and Barrel P.O.ís will be placed at that time with our vendors on a single order to get our pricing break.

2. Short actions are currently in stock. Long, Magnum and Short Mag actions are scheduled to arrive by Feb 15th, so they will be ready in plenty of time.

3. Barrels will be scheduled to arrive by March 23rd

4. Long action stocks should arrive sometime mid-April

5. Short action stocks will be in late May

All builds will start as soon as we receive parts. Completed builds will begin delivering in late April and should be all wrapped up by mid-June. Please place all orders by calling the shop at 817-284-0034. Be sure to mention you are calling about the TBH deal. Iíll do my best to keep up with this thread and pmís , but please donít be offended if I miss some stuff. The guys up front can handle any questions you may have if I canít get back to you.

More to come.......

Letís do this!!! I am going to show my ignorance and admit that I need some help setting this thing up though. I am a bow hunter, but want a custom rifle . I am open to any suggestions! I am mainly wanting a rifle that can be used for anything from elk to white-tail and can be suppressed.

Caliber?
Twist?
Barrel length for running a suppressor?

I can pick out the rest

Finally got the pic thing figured out. Lol. For those of you considering this, you may want to go to our Instagram page. There are a ton of builds out there that may give you some ideas on color and finish options.

Thanks,

Same here. Unfortunately too many irons in the fire and a second lease in the works that is covered in axis I just can't swing an extra 2 grand right now. Awesome deal though, thank you for this very generous offer! .

Sorry for not being clear on the payment part, was trying to get all the info out there and missed that crucial detail. We would need 50% at time of order and the balance on completion. Also, given our component choices Lefties are not an option on this one. Left handed actions are in the works, so maybe next time.

Maybe if it can just take long enough to spread up out the payments far enough apart..

For you guys needing help figuring out the best cartridge choice for your needs, feel free to call the shop and discuss your requirements and the guys would be more than happy to throw out some options. One small piece of advice - If you don't hand load, make sure you consider something that the ammo market supports with good selection and availability.

Guys,

If you have questions on this process id be glad to offer my advice on the matter. Shoot me a PM and Id be glad to discuss your options, as Im sure a few others would here as well. CB comes to mind I have a little experience in rifles that I don't like to advertise but am always willing to help when I can.

My biggest suggestion is find you a caliber you like that you can buy QUALITY ammo off the shelf unless you are a reloader which in that case we wouldn't be having this conversation is my guess. Once you know what caliber the rest is a breeze.

Im all ears b

Ill be phoning my order soon as I move some funds around Stick!

Thanks for doing this.

I already own a .243 and a 7 mag. What would be the preferred caliber between the two for someone that doesn't reload.

Just out of curiosity why BETWEEN those two? Not a fan of 30 calibers? You can be a 6.5 creedmoor guy in that range.

6.5 Creedmoor, 308, or 7mm-08.

I have a Sendero 7 mag that I love and as much gun as I will ever need. My kids are shooting a Remington 700 ADL in .243.

I am looking for something a little bigger than the .243 for them.

Something 6.5mm would be my vote in that case. 260 or 6.5 CM.

257 roberts or 25-06 are also great choices but ammo can be a little tougher to find (roberts mainly)

I grew up shooting a Roberts and still do to this day.
