We worked in Venezuela from the mid 90s up to 2010. Every trip over you could see the changes and the downhill slide.
Everybody I knew there that had the money to leave has left, some came here others have went to Europe and Canada. Sad to watch such a beautiful country slide into chaos.

I haven't watched the video yet, but it can definitely happen here in the US. It has happened to other countries that are not socialist or communist. Argentina is one. For anyone interested in what the US might look like if this happens and what you can do to prepare this is a good book written by an Argentinian that has lived in the US and understands what it is like here.

I dated a woman that got stationed in South Korea after being injured by an IED in Iraq. Her job was to interrogate the North Korean defectors that made it to South Korea. That place is sad, the stuff going on there is absolutely insane.
