The cover is forcing banks to not be racist. And I agree as well as most everyone else. It's just that under that cover the banks had to make loans to people that could not afford to pay the loans back.
To comply with HUD, the community reinvestment act and a host of other laws - banks invented crazy loans to cover their butts. The government purchased the loans, enabling the banks to make even more risky loans.
And we have not learned anything, this administration did not fix the problem. Only blamed the banks, greed, and never took responsibility for it's own actions that caused this mess.
We are closer to a Greece, Venezuela then we want to believe.
