    Electric question

Looking for some advise from the TBH electricians

Going to need run our camp trailer off a generator until we get electricity(will be a 3-4 months at minimum)

Our trailer has always been hardwired into our power pole at the old lease

What is the safest way to make the connection from the generator w/30 amp receptacle to the breaker box on our trailer?

Disconnect from pole and install 30 twist lock plug on trailer cord.

Forgot to add, the wire coming off the trailer is pretty heavy duty. I was thinking it was too heavy to just install a plug on there. I’ll check my lease partner and see what was used

Look at the receptacle on your generator. It might state the NEMA configuration on the receptacle. Something like L14-30. Buy a matching male plug and install it on your RV cord. Plug in and done.

I’ll take a look. It’s a construction trailer, so we originally didn’t have them option of just using the rv cord with 30amp plug
