Very nice. Very nice buck. Congratulations.

My son and i hunted Saturday. We saw the most coyotes we've ever seen in one day. Most of them were far away on another ranch. We did manage to drain the life out of one stinky varmint. Saw one giant hog on the next ranch over, and about 1k sandhill cranes. Very few deer. One little 4 point at 4 yards. Oh well, here's to cooler days and nights and nights when the moon doesn't shine like the sun.

Mike where do you hunt? Sounds like we sit right next to each other. Hahaha. Had a ton of activity this weekend but it was all mule deer. Prob saw 30 different Muleys. They really do know when their seasons on a break. Hahaha

Sat morning had our target buck show himself but never had a shot. He was headed to an open road when the Muleys pushed him back in the thick cover.

Excited for rut activity to pick up thanksgiving week. Looks like some colder weather coming finally.

Any signs of pre-rut? I saw forkhorns sparring and a young 8 run a doe off on Sunday in Cottle Co.

I was in Cottle Co this past weekend. I saw some young bucks pushing does. Also, an older buck that had a main beam broken pushing some doe. Should get good in the next couple weeks.

We saw a lot of deer this morning just not any shooter bucks. Going back out this evening and sitting in a different spot that I know big bucks often use. Will update with ldp prayerfully!

Hahaha! I'm weird I guess,but I'd have shot that big b◊◊◊◊◊d in a second!
I'm real tempted to start in the panhandle.A good friend of mine said there's gonna be a spot open next year.Mule deer, and whitetail?? Kind of a no-brainer,I guess.

Nice buck congrats. That buck does have a big body. I love the bucks in this area because when you see a mature deer, there is no doubt.

Hunted Friday evening and Saturday. Saw a grand total of two does. Other guys on the lease saw some smaller bucks and does. Nothing chasing. Soon, very soon...

Well, i did see three very healthy coyotes on Friday evening. Much too far away for bow action. I also saw some evidence of a poacher. I guess it's not just an east Texas thing. Someone gut shot a pig and left it lay in the pasture. The tripod i hunted also had been rearranged from last weekend. Notified the rancher. We'll see what happens.

Last weekend my son and i went to the same pasture. Saw a guy parked behind a tree, immediately on the other side of the fence. He was more or less on the path the tripod. He didn't look right. We walked directly toward him. He got in the truck and drove off. I'm pretty sure he was getting ready to do a little illegal "hunting". Bad business. We'll see what happens.

Its a windy SOB this morning! This is my second year hunting in Childress and by far the most wind I've hunted in.

How is deer movement when it's this windy?

Panhandle Muley down! Been hunting out here for 4 years now and been chasing a muley ever since. Great hunt this morning. He came in from about 400 yards north along the edge of wheat field and brush. Finally made his way down in the open brush area and gave me a good shot. Him and another yíall 6 were circling each other when I took him. Almost took the 6 first but buddy held me up as this guy finally came into view and was much bigger. Big ol 220# panhandle muley buck!! Fired up man.

One of our lease mates rifle shot a really nice buck in a wheat field just west of Electra this morning. Pig of a deer. Said there were two other "shooters" in the field with him. Said: "The rut is on!"

Go get 'em kids.

My seventy year old Dad, nine year old son, and I are driving through Dallas right now headed to Hardeman County. We’ll be sitting on a big wheat field in the morning looking for a big buck. My Dad and son will be shooting and I’m playing cameraman (even though I $uck at it). Hopefully I’ll be posting some LDP’s in the morning!

Bucks were chasing does, and looking hard for does to chase, this past weekend. I had two really nice, but too young to shoot, bucks in bow range Saturday morning. Saw bucks chasing does all over the neighbors field yesterday evening.

Saw some coyotes. Too far away to shoot. One h u g e coyote. I'll try to deal with him later.

Happy hunting.

Finally got out to my place in Hardeman near Quanah over Thanksgiving weekend. Saw tons of movement and rut activity. My target buck never showed but saw a bunch of nice deer that needed another year. Ended up getting this big cat on the last evening.
