    CCphotography - pics

I figured I’d just start a thread to share my pics.

I just received my newest addition from B&H.

We’re headed to the 587 Ranch this weekend and I’m looking forward to seeing what I can capture with this new glass! I strongly considered going with the Tammy 150-600, but in the end I think this will be a better fit.

            Great pics .

Curious why you went with the 200-500 over the 150-600, can you explain your rationale?

The Nikon is sharper and I’m using it on a DX body D7100. The only complaints it had were soft edges on full frame and those were minor. The Tammy is a heck of a lens, but with the results I was reading about, I couldn’t pass up the 200-500 Nikon lens for $1195 total.

The only way the Tammy was truly worth it was by going with the sport version which I believe runs closer to 2k.

I played around with the new lens a little on Saturday morning. I didn't shoot any deer with it because they were pretty skittish...

I've got a lot of practice to get in with this lens before I'm going to get any real quality.
