    basic poppers

Found I still had some dove fillets left so I made some poppers the other night.

    Classic and hard to beat.

I’ve gotten lazy lately and just buy the prepared jalapeño/cream cheese/bacon poppers from HEB and add the dove breast. The bacon is pretty thin but the time savings is worth it

Me and you both brother. I still have one bag of dove breasts in the freezer, might need to go set that out. Just grab the H-E-B ones and cram a breast in there and go.

that was some thick bacon. May need to try that in the future. Usually bacon I use is way thinner. Love poppers though

Add me to the list. They’re a little pricey at times, but worth every penny in my opinion.

Call me crazy, I know, but subbing cheddar or Colby jack for the cream cheese on half or so is a nice way to add variety to your spread.

I've got a bag or three stashed from last year I need to thaw and enjoy.

I mix softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, bacon pieces, and Cajun seasoning in a bowl before I start stuffing them.

Y’all have those in vacuum sealed bags?
How long will they keep that way.

                      BP

I fillet them and wash and dry them good before vacuum sealing in a single layer. Can’t say how long they last but a year has never been a problem for me.

Found a couple bags in the freezer last night.
Not poppers but pan fried in seasoned panko. Yum

Love that food and I appreciate your meticulous preparation.

                              That's my style.

I sometimes also add a drop of soy on the dove meat and a large fresh mushroom slice or onion in the wrap.

                              Either way, It's all delicious!!!
