No problem, It was just hard to tell you were joking. Those darn smiley faces can make all the difference. I guess if you would have said congrats or nice elk it would have been easier to tell.

THe vouchers are actualy initialy given to the andowners, who then give them to the hunters who book a hunt with them. It is not a draw tag.
There are a few programs that are not in the book that are not realy geared towards attracting sport hunters, but that are more geared towards hellping landowners with crop issues.

One of the areas we hunt, cow elk can be shot starting Aug. 15th

He will be starting cow hunts as well on Aug 15th and running them until the end of the year.

Thanks guys, pounded on the prairie dogs again today, the valley is overrun with them too, they are all around the pivots.

We have seen around 200 in the last 2 days. It is kinda of a special hunt that DOW issues vouchers for because they dont want any elk in the valley.

The heat isnt too bad, been getting rain everyday here in the valley highs right around 80. Bulls like the one I killed $3500 for a week long hunt with all food and lodging included, easy flat land hunt no climbing required!! We were able to drive out to him on the edge of a hay pivot and pick him up in the truck and be back to the house in about 10 minutes after the 30 minute walk back to the truck. Stalked him in the chicos a little over a mile.

Caught 12 brown trout yesterday and killed a ton of prairie dogs as well, slept in this morning fixing to go hit the dogs again.

                    Congratulations Mike !!!

Tracy wanted to know if Cari is hunting too.

                    Ya'll have fun.

Cari is spending her time pounding prairie dogs and drooling over some fine muledeer bucks. She shot out the town today.
