Keep them doing what you do, and I doubt they have the Keto flu.

Had interesting day yesterday. It was an off day from the gym and I only got in 1700 calories and I had to force the last 200 fat calories. Felt full after 1 big meal. Fasted 12 hrs, yeah it was small but it's a start, ate a big lunch with Venison Sausage, Salad with blue cheese dressing and an avocado. For dessert, a block of Philly Creme Cheese. That was the bulk of my intake for the day. Everything else was 1/2 link of Venison sausage, butter, MCT oil and heavy whipping cream.

Sounds like a great menu!

I got a shipment from Onnit yesterday that included some pumpkin spice emulsified MCT. Dropped 3 tablespoons in a 32oz mug of coffee for my morning commute and I was not hungry until noon. After being on this diet for a while, that stuff was like having a big desert for breakfast

HEB in Katy sells the vanilla version. Not cheap but being able to use it in coffee without a blender makes it worth it to me.

Wife and I just started the new Keto diet. On week 2 and so far its going good. I do miss some of the carbs i was use to but mental control is working.

I do have a request for suggestions. What are you all using for Protein powder? I like to have at least 1 shake a day to supplement protein intake. Most powders im use to have a pretty high count of carbs.

Thank you for the help!

I take in around 150 grams of protein per day and I don't take in any shakes. Some say whey protein can kick ya out of ketosis. If I was to use a shake, it would be a blend of proteins. Look up Keto-Pro. It's expensive but made for no carb warriors.

ISO 100 is also a good powder that is low in carb content compared to other powders. I used it for several months and was happy with results. Also it tastes pretty good for protein powder

They sound good at the time but majority are not worth it. My next cheat meal will be fajitas and rita's. Sometime in a month or 2.

Good low carb beer............hmmmmmmmmmmmm. Does such a thing even exist?

Edit..what I've done is, go no carb, except for 1 good beer. Then a little extra cardio to burn it off.

I have been using this protein powder.

http://www.perfectsupplements.com/Pr...EN&Click=81921

https://www.amazon.com/Perfect-Hydro...2Bprotein&th=1

VIRTUALLY TASTELESS AND ODORLESS: Hydrolyzed means the collagen has been broken down into shorter chains, called peptides. The resulting powder is virtually tasteless and odorless, and collagen hydrolysate peptides have a very low molecular weight, meaning you can stir it into anything youíd like, and it will blend right in. Itís even soluble in cold liquids!

MAXIMUM PROTEIN WITHOUT FAT OR CARBS: Perfect Hydrolyzed Collagen is 97 percent protein Ė the highest in the industry! Each serving has over 10 grams of protein, with no sugar, fat, or carbohydrates. Our Collagen Peptides have a high bioavailability, meaning your body can absorb and utilize it well, reaping the benefits of every ounce of product.

PACKED WITH BENEFITS: Collagen is the most abundant protein in the human body, and has many roles, including the promotion of healthy and youthful looking skin. Some of the other potential benefits include better joint and bone health, improved digestion, reduced inflammation, increased metabolism, better brain function, and a deeper sleep.
EASY TO USE: We know bone broth is nutrient-dense, because of the gelatin it contains. Gelatin is simply cooked collagen. Perfect Hydrolyzed Collagen provides many of the benefits of homemade bone broth, without the time it takes to make and consume. Plus, with our powdered collagen peptides, you can add a scoop to any variety of liquids to mix it up!

FROM EXCLUSIVELY GRASS-FED COWS: Our Perfect Hydrolyzed Collagen is only sourced from Brazilian pasture raised, grass-fed cows. Grass fed cows are happier and healthier than grain-fed cows, giving you a better final product. Perfect Hydrolyzed Collagen is also 100% natural, free of pesticides, hormones, chemicals, and contaminants. It is gluten free and non-GMO, and a great supplement for the Paleo diet.

Made a little green Chile soup today. This clears the sinuses out. The Chile probably has the most carbs of all the ingredients. Turned out really good.

Need some help with something: I saw an idea somewhere for bacon, sausage, and cheese bombs somewhere, but donít remember where and canít remember how it was done. I want to say the cheese was cut in squares, put in a ball of sausage, wrapped in bacon then cooked, but I forget how long. Anyone seen something similar?

ABSOLUTELY, Keto coffee aka Bulletproof coffee is coffee with butter, mct oil, coconut oil and heavy whipping cream. You can add all or a choice of your choosing or just good ole black coffee. Black coffee is good for a fast as it does not produce a need for insulin.

I've had beer, wine and whiskey while on keto. Granted only 1 or 2 drinks, I didn't go crazy and I was never kicked out of ketosis. Which I find interesting. No beer since NY, had a bottle of Chimay Grand Reserve. Probably will not drink till March or April.
