She strolled thru camp Tuesday at 1pm while I'm sitting drinking a beer. I wasn't sure if it was a goat or a lama. Upon ground check, once in a lifetime doe. Having the hide tanned.

No exotics anywhere. Had her checked by the local game wardens and confirmed.
Leucistic animals lack pigment over all or part of their bodies Leucistic deer can be varying levels of white – some contain white splotches, some are half brown and half white, some appear nearly all white. Mixed brown and white animals are often known as piebald deer. (Confusingly, many deer biologists and hunters use “piebald” to describe all leucistic deer). |

Sure looks like a fallow to me. The hair on her neck, and from the pics she appears to have the fallow deer “adams apple”, and her tear ducts look slightly bigger like a fallow from what I can tell. Really cool kill regardless of what species congrats.

A good pic of the muzzle would help for any questionable identification. Tail looks shorter than most fallow deer. Adam’s apple is obviously going to look enlarged regardless of species when it’s neck and head are bent back like that. If it’s hair is shedding like a long haired dog then that would help I’d as a fallow too.

That don’t look like any whitetail I’ve seen. Neck is too long, tail is too short, and the hooves are longer than any whitetail I’ve shot.

Fallow.
Reminds me of a post quite awhile back by another guy on here that posted a pic of what he claimed was a mountain lion track, and he said it was confirmed to be a lion track by the GW. The track was very obviously a dog track. |
