Last hunt of the year for me. I didn't get to hunt nearly as much as I usually do. Oh well, there's always next season if I make it that long

Didn’t find them but then again we didn’t look real hard...just around the feeders.
I think he’s the wide 3.5 year old 8 I’ve seen all year and have a bunch of video of. I haven’t had him on camera since around that time.

We had a pretty good year just nothing very big. 3 “trophies” according to points and age but none over 130” along with 9 management bucks. Also took out 24 does.

I thought about this yesterday but decided to wait until after youth season to start another one since we have some folks with kids .

Been a fun thread with some crazy ups and downs. We had a weird year with very few big camps due to timing issues, heavy rains early and folks killing out early. Seems like this year there was always something that came up... starting with opening weekend and the mudfest. Iím hoping for less of a rodeo next year for my own shots and more time with my fellow lease members and their families in camp.

Default First Bow kills

I have a Buddy that I work with that runs a Lease in Tom Green County who got me on a few nice culls and a Turkey. I had never killed anything with my bow until this trip. I am hooked to say the least.

for sure! He is going to bring my back next year. I mostly gun hunt in East Texas, but I want to build a bow blind and put more effort into bow hunting my lease. Much harder hunting where I am but plenty of hogs to practice on, lol. I plan to get on his club for the 2019-20 season.

Ended up only shooting one trophy on our place. 159". Shot a couple culls. Next two years on our place should be really good on our place with some rainfall. Were putting out bulk protein again this weekend.

Was looking through the cards and saw the late spotted fawn my buddy kept telling us he was seeing in mid December. I thought it was one too many whiskeys.. But he was right.

Late fawn....muy tender..
