I have heard a lot of folks cast their own. I would like to look into it but don't even know where to start. Almost too much info out there....

I have been there before. This gun seems to be a stout chunk of steel. Loading a few more rounds today and hope to hit the range with it soon.

Check out castboolits.com. tons of info and and plenty of help. Casting your own is cheap compared to buying and fairly simple to do. I powdercoat mine rather than lube:

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "Holy shoot....what a ride!"

Remington 700 ADL 22-250 from Cabelas. They have them on sale from $499 to $425 and then Remington has a $75 mail in rebate plus I had a $20 coupon and got Military discount. I ended up paying just over $350 out the door for this rifle. Smokin DealName: IMG_0857.jpg

Picked this up at Saxet today for a very cheap price. I do not think it has ever been shot. Gonna break it down tonight and clean it and lube it.

I know alot of you dont like Chiappa but the trigger feels good.

Hopefully will take it to range soon.

Wandered over to the gun counter at my post exchange. This 3" 686+ had been screaming at me for almost the two years I've been here. Long story short, got them from $725 to $552 out the door......so I took it home.

Thanks much! I "needed" his one as much as my 4" N Frame 627-5. Something about wheel guns and 1911s just feel right. I've got a pile of 38 and 357 rounds that I loaded, so it's about time to break them both in the fun way. Time to have another holster made....

Bought a 686 2 years ago. One of the most fun guns to shoot. I've been thinking about getting a little trigger work done.

Traded my 2006 Bushmaster Patrolman's Carabine A-2 for this frankinbuild pistol. Nephew has always wanted my AR, shot his first big game animal with it, so I told him to get me a pistol and we would trade.

Those are fun with the interchangeable cylinders for .22mag and .22lr. I've been thinking about picking up the one with the 9" barrel just for grins...

Not a gun, but picked a new safe. My old one was over flowing and I had the choice between a big Ole TV or a new safe. Decided to be responsible.

However now I got some empty slots that need to get filled. I'm OCD that way lol

Picked up a Remington VTR in 308 with a 24in barrel with a 1/12 twist rate and no muzzle break today. From what I can find it is a special run done for Cabela's.

Marlin 335 in 30 30 from 1984. 3rd owner. The cleanest 336 I have ever seen. 2nd owner has never shot it but added rail in 1994. I am taking it off.

This is going in the keeper safe!

Luger Stoeger 22lr from the 1970's. One original mag and one aftermarket mag.

This gun I believe had never been taken apart or cleaned. There must have been 1/16" of buildup in the chamber.

This pistol is from the 1970's as they were made from 1969 to 1985.

Gonna take it to Reds soon.

BTW, this gun is a pain in the *** to reassemble but figured it out as there are no reassembly videos I could find.

Will postup results after range visit.

I found a brand new, 15" ported .500 S&W barrel for my Encore pistol for less than $150 at Natchez. Didn't really need it, but for the price, I figured I'd check it out. Ordered it yesterday.
All the best,

Ruger 10/22 I snagged from an FFL buddy...Manufactured in 1992

This started out as a DPMS LR-308 Sportical for $750 I think it was from Academy a while back... gave it a few upgrades I picked up...

Bought the Tikka Compact 243 a couple weeks back from Buds for like $460 shipped. I needed the action for a build a buddy is doing for me (waiting on the barrel). Ordered a MDT X-Ray chassis for it and it went from this

to this

Also picked these BCG's up Global Sales National Match version, produced by Smith Enterprises for Colt. I just need the Navy one to finish out the collection.
