I started a fire last night in it and it supprisingly did very well. Got the temp up to a steady 200 degrees. I do, however, find a few places where my heat was escaping, so I need to fix that. Just some fine tuning here and there, but I think it's ready for a trial run with a brisket

That should be a cooking machine! Does it draft well?

It drafted well. I have a few places where the smoke is leaking out, but I should be able to fix that without any problems.

Finally welded the charcoal grill together. It comes apart so I could remove it when I'm using the firebox as a smoker. Also finished with the flag stone. I left the chimney because I want to make sure it works well before I finalize it. Still have to make a lid and door for the storage side and I need to order the propane grill kit and install it.

Have you used it yet? How’s it do?

I haven't smoked anything yet. I did do a test run and had a few smoke leakes. Nothing too bad. It held at 200 for several hours, so that's good.
