    Which Brand of Shotgun shells

What Brand and size shot do you use for Hunting Dove and Ducks

I like to use RIO brand for Dove made in Texas. I like 12 Ga. 2 3/4 3 1/4 dram 1250 fps with a 1 1/4 oz size 8 shot.

Like Heavy Metal steel in #2 shot

    Whats your choice

    #2
    Dove
    1oz of 7 1/2 in 20ga
1 1/4 of 7 1/2 in 12 ga ( IMO 12ga is way over kill for doves and quail)
In estate brand, but Winchester is ok also

    Ducks
    #2 big ducks
    #4 small ducks in 20ga
    #BBB geese

I’ve come to like Academy’s Monarch hi-brass in 7.5 for dove.

I shoot 6 or 4 steel for ducks. But they tend to decoy better in my areas.

Hard to beat the orange top Remy's for dove/quail in 20 gauge if I shoot a 20 at 'em...
Usually it's 3" Winchester 7 1/2 or 8 in .410 bore. Only shotgun sells I still reload... I'm set up for the Winchester hulls, but the Remy 3" shoot just as good too, but my MEC don't like the Remy hulls much...

Dove, like #7.5 high brass but will shoot anything that fits in the barrel.

Duck, been done with those nasty creatures for about 20yrs. But little duded is wanting to go so I’m sure I’ll be buying some #6 for up and close pond hunts.

            I load the AA in my .410 #8 in 2 1/2”

            12g usually rio in 7 1/2... don’t really matter it’s a 12g and dove ain’t built real well

Duck- 3” 2-3 or 4 not picky. Whatever patters... most do

I quit Rio blue steel only because their hulls sucked so bad. I blew the primers out of dozens and cracked the brass. Lots of issues

Regular ol steel works in decoys

Agree on the Rio's plus they burn so dirty!! Shoot a box and your gun will need a serious cleaning!

They are alright. Just like all the dove promo loads.

Kent Fasteel 3" #3 or #4 for ducks.

Prefer federal #8 for dove. But just because of the red, white, blue shells.
