Default My take on Bownanza

That had to be one of the most well organized events I have been to in a long time.
Thanks to all who made it possible and thanks to all of the team members for their contributions.

I did not meet one member who did not act like they had known me all of my life. Everyone I met was happy to stop and shake your hand and have a few words. It was nice to put some faces with screen names.

I need to pace myself for the next one, I was stuffed and never did get any gumbo, beans or crawfish. Somehow I missed the gorditos in the morning but I got a breafast burrito that hit the spot.

Most importantly, as far as I know anyway, everyone kept an atmosphere that would be considered nothing but family friendly. I did not see anyone that looked like they had too much to drink and I did not hear any excessive swearing.

Already planning to be there next year and will probably make a weekend of it instead of a day

Cuz, you were eating everytime I turned around!
I can't believe you didn't make it to every team.
I agree with you assessment. Great time and everybody we met were like old friends.
I see some now that I wish I had met, that I didn't get to.
There is always next year.
We will have to make it a weekender!

My clan has done Bownanza both ways........... as a day trip and the weekender.

The weekender IS the way to go! There are just to many people to meet, things to see, things to talk about to do it all in one day.

I'm already ready already for next year!

After doing both myself with the daytrip this year I am thinking I agree with you.

It is one of the best events that you will ever attend, I don't feel bad, I didn't get to the gumbo, axis carne asada, or even the ribs. Just a lot of good things to eat and it got where I could chew, just no room to swallow.
