Calling all rock hounds - what is it?

2 weekends ago I was digging around in the Brazos like I have many other times feeling underwater for petrified wood and my hand ran across a rock I’ve never felt, then seen, before. My first look at it I thought asteroid/meteorite, then I thought it looked like it was something extremely hot that bonded it together, then possibly petrified dinosaur crap, pretrified brain... see where this is going? Any of y’all know what this could possibly be? To me it’s size to weight ratio “for just a rock” is off, at 10” across it feels heavier than it looks.

This is a picture of the Holsinger meteorite from Meteor Crater in Arizona. I believe this piece is the largest fragment recovered and weighs over 1500# . Looks similar.

will a magnet stick to it? I dont think it will. It appears to be a piece of vitrified limestone. It got extremely hot at some point.

I think it is just a rock. Interesting and water washed smooth, but just rockish.

                            Possibly the original pet rock.
