Open Carry - will you show?
Originally posted by LFD2037 View PostTrue. BUT in the beginning it was borderline on illegal (could be arrested, go to jail, fight it in court). Then it became less borderline but you'd still have to prove you were putting forth effort for it not to be exposed. All that's out the window now!
Meh I've never seen case law on it so it must not have been a big deal.
I always thought the language was pretty clear on it and never really understood the reason for the wording change in 2013.

Your can still be arrested under the same statute and made to fight it out in court.

For the 10 billionth time, accidental exposure of your CC weapon has NEVER been illegal!
You couldn't wear it OWB with an open jacket covering it. He was getting out of a chair and the jacket pulled open.
I saw this guy questioned and escorted outside. Not sure what happened after that.

Questioned and escorted outside by whom? Police?
The law was clear (to me at least) prior to the wording change in 2013 and after the 2013 change.
I'm just blown away by the people who are CHL and carry but don't know the law. It's YOUR responsibility to know it.
And BTW I've carried many times over the years OWB under a jacket or even loose shirt with no issues.
