Sunflowers - always have seeds

We have a decent crop of sunflowers but they are knee high. Yellow head black. Center. But it doesn’t seem like a lot of seeds. More of like a small leaf

If they head out yellow do they always have sunflowers seeds?

Not necessarily. They must be pollinated and must also mature. They can have “faulty” seeds... basically useless

You have to give them time to mature the seed

They don't flower with mature seeds in them

Deer around here love sunflowers, ate them down to the stalks before they hit peas

That looks to me like a flower that failed to mature but hard to tell

Ours did the same,I haven't been back to our place since July 4th,so I hope ours haven't burnt up,but last time I was there they were knee high and solid yellow field.
