    Bad wheel bearing on trailer

So I’m curious as to what other people do when this happens in the middle of nowhere and your by yourself. Luckily I was close to work and have a mechanic coming to help and give me a ride to go get parts but it got me thinking. What if I was on my own? Apart from abandoning you trailer on the side of the road and repairing my self what other option is there?

Not many good options if you have any weight on the trailer. Flat bed tow truck

        It’s a 38’ fifth wheel

Ouch. You are stuck or you can limp along on 3 tires?

You have more going on besides a bad wheel bearing. Looks like your bakes came apart. Do you have all the parts or are the gone?

I've limped a couple home with a chain and boomer holding up the bad axle. Looks like you're gonna need a whole new backing plate set up too.

Done this, of course its no good if it's a single axle

If it isn't loaded and a tandem you could remove tires from that axle, but loaded, drop trailer and go get parts, or phone a friend.

I limped our 38’ camper home from Fredericksburg to burnet on 3 wheels. Could Find a hub assembly so had no choice. Carry spare bearings now.

True. But you don't see many 38' single axle trailers.
