    Traditional FSC Week 18

Fold a standard sheet of 8.5 X 11 inch paper at center along both the long & short sides to form a cross at center. Then, with a pencil, or ink pen clarify the lines of the cross at center about 1/4"

Place one end of a toilet paper tube on the paper as close to having the cross at center of tube as possible. Then, trace around the tube with pencil, pen, or sharpie.

With a toothpick, poke a hole on the long line, and right at the edge of the circle you traced. That hole is the "up" orientation of your target when pinned to your target butt.

Tape the toothpick to the toilet paper tube with 1 inch of it sticking over the end of the tube.

Pin your paper to your target butt, then stick the toothpick in the hole you made on the circle, and push it in until the tube is tight against the paper, and centered within the traced circle.

Take your shot from 15 yards (8 for the kiddos), and from any position.

Once you've taken your shot, remove the tube, and measure edge of shaft (at the paper) to center of cross. The tube may bounce out by itself from the impact, but it will stay on the arrow.

A hit inside the tube (with no tube damage) will score as 1/2 the actual measurement.

A shot outside the tube scores actual measurement, even if off paper.

"ANY" shot resulting in "ANY" damage to the tube (rip, cut, or tear, no matter how small), then the score will be double the actual measurement.

First shot of the day, with 7 days of attempts, (if you choose).
If you shoot more than one day, your last day/shot is the one that counts for your score.

I will be awarding a prize to the winner for this week.
BUT, to qualify for the prize you must post your results both here,
    and at http://trad-archer-friends.com
You'll need to sign up if not already a member there.

Long winded explanation I know, but this is really easy to set up.

We'll just skip the measurement for today's shot.[emoji58]

          Cool call, Rick!

Question: since shooting into tube with no damage is measured at half distance to +, does that mean shooting into tube with damage is just whatever it is?

Oh,wait. Just noticed by reading your words that the answer is that the measurement is doubled if tube is damaged.

Yeah that's a lot of detail to process on a hung over Sunday morning.[emoji30]
But I went on to have a short but good practice at 21 yards.
Another reason I never go to stand without a practice shot or three. In the mornings it is wth the aid of a light, and often that first shot is good, but it gives me the confidence to go hunt knowing my "feel" for the bow is right.
That goes for any of my archery equipment.

Yep, tube damage results in doubling the actual measurement regardless of whether the arrow is inside or outside the tube.

Don't hurt my tubes, or I'll make ya pay for it.

You actually have to get close to the tube to risk it though.

I was thinking I might stick with this before seeing what's already posted.
