The DDM4V1 is nearly 7 pounds, without ammo. This guy has been described as a slob that sits in a chair, pulling a slot arm for a living or clicking on video poker buttons. Shooting that gun at nearly full auto, (off hand or from a tripod) is going to be pretty hard for dweebish looking guy in the picture below, IMHO.
that's the most ridiculous thing I've read yet....well, almost.

As a small arms instructor in the Marines, I've seen 90 pound female Marines handle M240G's with no problem.

Unless this guy was paralyzed from the eyebrows down, then I'll buy it.

He's a avg sized man. Anyone can do what he did.

Lawsuits against the gun manufacturers for sure. Evil guns.

I am with you on the sue anyone wagon. Just asking if they have popped out yet.

I'm guessing Mandalay Bay will be the first on the list. Whether they did anything wrong or not with their security procedures in place it would be hard to convince a lib jury that the hotel had done all they could to prevent someone from pulling this garbage off. They appear to have the deepest pockets to go after.

Now, now, don't go clouding this argument with facts and personal experience.

Not to mention he may have been on stimulants at the time for performance enhancement.

For sure victims will sue the DB's estate.

Probably also maybe take a crack at the hotel/casino and concert promoter/organizers.

                  The normal ones :
the venue, the city, the artists performing, the production company, the promoters, the security companies, the gun manufacturers, the NRA, the bump stock manufacturer, the hotel, etc etc etc..and if they get around to it... the estate of the devil.

This is is a perfect description of Paddocks father who was by all accounts a respectable businessman, husband and father - he just happened to rob banks on the side. Then he escaped from prison and lived under an assumed identity while embezzling from a bingo parlor. Stephen may have inherited some of those same traits. His brother and others have called him a "professional gambler" which in reality means "a guy who can afford to lose a lot of money." That money was coming from somewhere. He never had a job that was particularly high paying and hadn't worked in decades. Maybe he made it all in real estate - that's possible - I'm half expecting them to uncover something more nefarious
Completely agree with you. Sorry just doesn't add up

There is a law that prohibits that...

If he did infact show up to a title company with $375,000 in cash, it would have caught peoples attention. There are laws that must be followed. There is more info out there.

Regarding women marines, being able to shoot guns. Yea I would hope marines could do that, no matter their size or gender. You think the shooter could make it through BT or be a marine? I don't.

That didn't work out too well for the families that sued manufacturers after the Aurora shooting.

Motives? What motives did he have? Some thing had to drive him to this crime. He obviously had a plan and executed it, then done himself in. Why?
