So been selling roofs on the “side” for 11 years. Have always been careful. Well today my number came up. Stepped off roof onto ladder, ladder skid out from under me. Fell on back on ladder. L2 compression fracture
Morphine is a wonderful thing during bad pain. Wish me luck finding good orthopedic dr and outcome

I fell off a roof in the first week end of bow season. Hit a ladder on the way down so maybe broke the fall. I did a Marine roll and came up fine, no pain. Climbed back up and finished the roof. I woke up the next morning and could hardly walk. Missed most of the season because I couldn't walk to my stands.
