    Point and Shoot Myth......

I am blessed with having the ability to have a nice DSLR and glass to shoot with it.

    BUT!

I have two point and shoots and I am interested in seeing some photos produced buy "non-professional" cameras. I think that they, my point and shoots, with the manual settings, can produce quality pictures.

So, use this as a example thread to post your Point and Shoot photos. Think we will be surprised at the quality pics that are about to be posted.

Danny, sometimes I feel pessimistic about participating in the photography world of Texasbowhunter.com with my point and shoot type equipment (the cost of digital slrs has kept me out of the game) but then I look at images by people like Sophie and a couple of my flickr buddies who take some really stunning images with simple point and shoot cameras.
Quality glass always increases the ability to do more, but if you truly have an eye for design, your work will stand out.

By the way, that image of the pigeons is from back in the day when I was using a Canon EOS Rebel 35mm. That image was actually taken with black and white film...which I processed and printed myself using a friend's darkroom. Amazing how the technology has shifted in the last 10 years.

I don't care how much glass you have...the quality is entwined within the eye of the photographer...jmo

I got one for ya. A buddy of mine took this still with a video camera, of all things. I've said it before...it's not the camera that takes good pictures.

I have no idea what I'm doing (but I know enough to know that I have no idea) so feel free to critique. In fact I would appreciate it if anyone can tell me if any of these are worth anything more than poo.

Edit: No photoshopping of any of these, just cropping.

These two deer were about 200 yards away.

                        Teal was 30-40 yards away.

Though I do wish I'd had better glass given the opportunity, here's a couple from my P&S that are decent.
