Canon T3 vs T3i

Whats the difference in these cameras? I know the t3i is probably better but is it worth the price difference?

T3 shoots 780HD video. T3i shoots 1080 and has a flip down screen.

This^^^^ I just bought the wife the T3 for Christmas and she loves it. Could not see spending the extra money for something I probably wouldn't use.

Well if thats the only difference then I really cant see spending the extra money. That way I could save for a good lense.

Ok I asked for the comparison on these two cameras but after some thought Im prbably going to settle on the Rebel T2i and spend the left over on a good lense/accessories. If Im feeling lucky Ill go ahead and pull the trigger on the T3i.
