Looks a lot better than the one I made from a hickory sapling and a hay string, but I was 12 years old.

Thanks for the kind words guys. This is the first bow I have made from my own form design. It’s pretty quick. I did have quite a bit of time getting that riser block to fit in a form that was that aggressive. Especially with the belly running running through the handle. I thought that might be easier. It would have been with a straighter handle design I think.

Nice bow Ken. Did you go all black on the belly and back? How does it draw out weight wise? Lets see some more pics and some stats!

You get to wear the bowyer hat now...anytime you do or dont want. Very nice Sir.

Ive got the “itis” to craft a yew bow.

Tips are black phenolic, maple, bocote

By the way thanks for all the kind words!! Now that I have a legal longbow, I won’t get to shoot it in the state longbow championship!! This crap sucks!! For the record I am only assuming it will be canceled. Haven’t heard one way or the other.

Thanks a lot Bisch! As good as you shot this bow it made me glad someone else could shoot it good. Also I got to stand to the side and see how quiet it was and it’s speed. It’s pushing an 11 gpp arrow at a pretty good clip! Stuff you can’t really see well when your the one shooting. Thanks again!!
