    Migraines

Do any of y’all get migraines? I got my first one this week now it’s almost every day I have one woke up with one today... I’ve been doing the exedrine when they pop up. This is some serious pain like I’ve never had pretty much crippling.

Last year was a bad year for me. Had 3 of them in 5 days. (I’m only 20) Stress between my company, school, and not eating right gets me bad. When I say migraine it’s blurred vision, extreme pain, and a rotation of throwing up and sleeping every 30 minutes for at least 12 hours. My hands go numb and my eyes get blurry. Medicine induces the vomiting even faster. A hot shower to help me fall asleep is one of the few things that helps. One of the ladies I mow for bought me a head wrap ice pack that helps. One thing since then that I’ve had is my wisdom teeth pulled, no migraines since then, but I also reduced the amount of stress in my life. I went to the neurologist and he gave me three samples, an injection, a nasal spray, and a pill. I took them when my hands started going numb, and all three knocked the pain out and kept me from vomiting, but I still had the pain for half the day. It’s tough you just have to find your triggers!

I don't know if they are migraines, but I live with a head ach 24/7. And at times it " spikes" just like a brain freeze. May last seconds, minutes, worst has been three days. Then it subsides, to what I guess is normal. Don't know what triggers the freeze, but they suck bad. Have had MRI, cat scan, X-rays, all kinds of meds. Nothing really helps. I feel for ya man, they have given up trying to figure out what it is. It's hard to have a good day( time) doing anything any more. Have had it for about three years now.

Do you get dizzy? Sounds like vertigo!

My wife suffers with migraines and she’s tried just about every thing under the sun. Theres a non- narcotic drug that helps her a lot. It just opens the blood vessels. I believe it’s called imatrex but that may be the generic name. Hope this helps for you

              No dizziness, just pain.

Been dealing with them for about 16 years. I started taking 1000mg of magnesium a day, switched to dayshift, cut back on caffeine, and have "rescue meds" if needed and they've been a whole lot better. I started seeing a difference after starting the magnesium though...

See a neurologist that specializes in migraines. I tried to let my PCP handle but when they started getting worse, more frequent and I started having numbness in my face, arm, and hands, I finally saw a specialist and that gave me some extra options.

You may want to try a chiropractor

Sounds like me. I've had them for years and years. I've had multiple MRIs, MRAs, CatScans, X-Rays, and a Spinal Tap. I even had my wisdom teeth pulled just in case they were causing problems. Nobody can find the problem and the only medicine that I've found that helps is Maxalt. I feel for you, wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy.

Mine were caused by high blood pressure and sleep apnea. Might want to check those....good luck, migraines are terrible!

Green apple a day keeps the migraines away.

I've had them for about 20 years. I dud the Excedrin shuffle for about 6. Finally had a Dr put me on sumatriptan (imatrex). Now is the only thing that will keep me from eating a bullet.

I work with a girl that was recently hospitalized from them. She had horrible headaches and was very dizzy. They ran all kinds of tests and she was diagnosed with migraines. There is a piercing that she was recommended and she got it. She said it was like an immediate release. I just googled so you can read the info....

Daith piercings often come up in discussions about migraine treatment. We take a closer look at this treatment option, and whether it works.
