Head to Matagorda and get in the river/diversion channel. Drift it and should be able to pick some fish up. It’s protected for the most part.

My brothers fish it a lot and have been doing really good lately. It seems like it’s best after a front when the tide falls out. Reds are usually easy in there too. Fish them logs like you’re bass fishing.
