Any ozonics battery hacks?

My two factory batteries are lasting a few hours now and not what they used to be. Anyone opened one up and replaced the cells?

Yes. I stuffed 3 18650 batteries in there. Its kinda tight but now one charge lasts 2 hunts easy, even on boost.

I believe the original batteries were 18500 with a little seperate pcb. Just use protected 18500 or 18650 and you dont need the pcb. I used 18650 because I use em for my other lights etc and aleady had some ( they are way more common than 18500 )

It opens from the top. Well, it is joined at the top and thats where I opened it.

Be sure and get minimum 6000mah 18650 regulated or protected. Same batteries used in lots of high lumen LED flashlights.

I ordered some charged em up put them in two separate kill lights. My brother was going to try to shoot some pigs that night, and I was in a varmit hunt. I turned mine on and It went out, before I thought the call my brother he called me and said the light didn't work the led barely came on. Turned out they were some high power e-cig 18650's and burned both my lights up. Don't make the same mistake I did. Good thing my buddy sells kill lights and swapped out the bulbs for me.
