    Waxing

Is it recommended to wax the serving?
How often do I need to wax the string?

I don't wax the servings. I only wax the strings on my bows. I'm no expert though.

I do not wax the serving, but I do wax all the rest of the string, including the loops.

I wax my string when I start to see small fibers appear. I don't wax the serving.

Is there a reason to NOT wax the serving?

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. Never really thought about it.

It adds weight that may slow your arrow slightly, and it could lead to slippage.
