I never have. Just used to fish the creeks and saw plenty pigs. But I would think evening would be better just because I see a lot of pigs around dark by the lake.

I work for the state. Always see lots of hogs up there when we work out that direction.

I got to go on one of the public land deer hunts there saw nothing but hogs. I put out about 2 bags of corn down the two converging roads I was hunting. I shot three pigs within twenty minutes using my .270, and when I was picked up another group of hogs came out.

Couldn't been Nails Creek. They don't allow firearms for hog archery only. I sure wish they allowed at least slugs. They don't even allow night hog hunts. They complain and write articles about them being a nuisance

If you are intending to target only hogs, just soak corn in diesel (at least 10-12 hrs). Deer and most other animals won't be interested in it, but hogs love it. Took 71 hogs off of a pasture next to the Nails Creek public land 2 summers ago and 36 hogs last summer off a pasture on Cedar Creek using a trap baited with diesel soaked corn.
