    Back to the basics Knife

I've had a piece of 1095 in the shop for a long time since I haven't used any for years. Well I decided to go back to the basics and make a knife from it.
It's really a no frills knife, no mosaic pins, no file work, nothing fancy. Just an acid etched blade with a neat little hamon line from the differential heat treat and some stabilized spalted Box Elder scales with copper pins.
I still need to touch up the etching and make a sheath but I like it.

I love it, alot of knives are really about the details. its nice to see one that showcase the simple inherent beauty of the materials used and overall shape of the blade

I made a simple sheath for it today and stuck it in the classifieds. Guess I'll see if anyone likes it enough to own it.
