helmsman spar urethane gloss for the first few coats. May go with the same in semi gloss to finish. Not sure on string yet.

Awesome! Nice work.
That is the first bow I ever owned, same weight even. I was 12 and my uncle was selling it for $20. This was the summer of 1984. I wanted to it SO badly. My mom said no, that I had to save my grass cutting money. I came home from school the next Monday and received the greatest surprise gift I have received to this day. That bow. We were free range kids then and I took it everywhere and shot at (and always missed because I had no idea how to shoot at that time) a lot of birds and chipmunks LOL. My brother sold it while I was living in Alabama in the early '90's
