Earlier this year we put up a ten foot tripod stand at a feeder near the pond. I finally brought the pole saw to trim a shooting hole. I will say that trimming out for the room of the length of a trad bow is different. I shot a few arrows at the flowers of the bull nettle under the feeder to practice shooting from the stand.
Although I was pleased with my shooting I didn't think through the recovery of my arrows. [emoji53]

Great job Gary. There are some real good deer in that area.

Been practicing out of some of the stands and blinds. This is the tallest, a 15' ladder. I can't wait for an opportunity at a pig but no recent pics of them and pig pipes are still full.

Nine feeders? You are nearing saturation on a place that size and may actually have passed the point of diminishing returns. With so many feeders in such a small area, the deer may not establish a pattern. That is o.k. with the does and yearlings, but I would want to the bucks to frequent just one feeder.

We have 7 up. We will be putting up quail feeders as well. The one by the house is for observation only. Once the fence is up and we have exotics and a captive pig population the number of feeder and stand set ups could increase.

So you did decide to high fence?

Not yet. But it's a 52" woven wire "game" or goat fence with two strands is barbed wire on top. There will be a 30" woven wire tied to the bottom to resist digging out/in.

It's the same fence a friend of mine started with on his exotics place. It will hold the sheep/goats blackbuck and a couple others we will start with. Over time we may raise it. One partner is more worried about the whitetail coming and going as they please.

They are okay I guess. They belong to a guy know. Rescued them from a lease he left.
