I was given a walnut "plank" that measures about 6" wide, 6' long, and about 1.5" thick. There are a couple of knots but overall, I think there could be some nicely figured sections that would make some nice knife scales. Does anyone in the DFW area do any stabilizing? I know Rubydog does and I would have him do it, but due to the distance from me, it cost an arm and a leg to ship this thing to him. So I'm looking local here in DFW. Any suggestions?
