I took 8 feet of paracord, 2 quick links, heat shrink, and those key hole style scent wicks to make a double drag. I used quick links bc I was worried snaps would hang up on brush. I put a loop at one end just big enough for the link and sealed it in place with the heat shrink. Then 18" up I put a second one. I also added a loop for a snap so I could attach it to my belt loop or pack.
With this design, you put doe scent on the first one and buck scent on the last one. It makes it smell like a buck on a hot doe. Or you can just use the doe scent on the last one. Make sure you use rubber gloves and replenish the scents every 100 yards. When you need to, you can easily replace the wicks. These wicks fit easilly into scent bottles, too.
With the double wicks I've had bucks follow me to my stand, so I don't use it in the dark.
