My advice on hunting them is to talk to someone in east Texas overrun with coons. They are just bigger corn rats in South Texas. They are cool critters but I have a 100% success rate on our ranch in South Texas so skill is not needed.

They are a blast to hunt.... but hard on the liver. Lol

They are a bow hunters Dream. Just play the wind and shoot them right in the shoulder. If you hit behind it you are in the guys.
