And pallets tend to rot within a year. I like your willingness to save money and be creative, but don't forget safety. Cutting a few dollars now could cost you thousands more or even your life. Every year I hear stories of friends of friends who broke their neck or back when their homemade stand collapsed.

That's the idea!!! We have 4 ladders and 3 treestands for under $50!!!

I can't believe you're actually able to hide from deer and hogs with those. Didn't anybody tell you that you have to buy the newest most expensive blinds and stands out there to hunt from? Deer can tell if you are worthy of their meat by how much you spend on your gear. I shot a deer a few years ago and I'm sure he was thinking, "I can't believe you shot me from a blind made from political signs?"

Geez, sounds like some of you never built a tree house as kids. The OP is a grown-*** man, I think he can determine if it can support his weight and he can assess if it has weathered or rotted.
