    Martin Hatield Take Down

Well, it's been a long time since I've shot Trad but I picked up a MHTD today for 20.00 at Goodwill. Need to get a few things before I can shoot it but I'm excited to send one down range for the first time. I have a pig rich environment on a place outside Freer so It should take me long to try it out. Arrow and broad head recommendations would be appreciated. I shoot a Muzzy Phantoms now and would assume they should work. Also, anything I should do to it or check out before I string it up?

    Thx

Before we can help you on arrow or head or??? You'll have to give us some information. What draw weight weight draw length is a good start.

Try starting out with 400 spine and work with the length and field tip weight till it flies right aim for about 9 to 10 gpp. If spine is too soft then go to a 340 spine but 400 spine should work with that bow. You can use the phantoms but you need a heavier insert say 100 gr to bump up the weight up front since muzzy is light weight head.
