My oldest son Bryce submitted his last college final, online, last week and is a 2020 SHSU graduate. He set a goal to finish in 3 years and after taking 15-19 hrs a semester, plus Maymester’s & Winter Minis, he accomplished his goal with a degree in Engineering Technology with a Safety Management Emphasis.
To say we are proud parents is an understatement!!!
I figured an Axis hunt would be a great graduation present and I received no complaints from Bryce. He even agreed to let his little brother tag along.
We spent 3 days in Stonewall chasing spotted deer and catching bass and bluegill.
I know my hunts with the boys will get few and far between as they get older but I sure take in every minute I get with them.
Bryce will marry his fiancée on June 6th. Being on his own and starting a new life isn’t sitting well with me, but it’s life. I tried to make this hunt with Bryce and Talen as special as I could.
Bryce took his first axis, full velvet, with his Sendero 25-06.
Talen followed up with a nice management axis with a 270 WSM.
Just wanted to share their first axis hunt.
