bow blind skid question?

Fellas,

I want to put 4x4 skids on the bottom to move around (basically get into the bushes without taking it down and moving). My question, the base facing you in the picture is 7', would a 8' 4x4 be long enough on the bottom for a skid? These are blind elevators for brackets which is a 8 degree angle.

I would go 14 with more length on the back side as the weight will shift back when you go to pull.

Pipe or angle iron over wood. And I would go longer than 7 or 8 ft.
